Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist who is currently fighting with the Flyweight Division of the UFC. She is the older sister of fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport began with her debut as a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina was awarded the Silver Medal in 2007, a Bronze Medal in 2008, and a Golden medal in 2011, in the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. In 2012, she took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won with a majority. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut was in 2002, during the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round TKO after which she won two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing, and took a long absence from MMA. She came back in 2017, when she fought Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa through a unanimous decision, as well as defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She left the club and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko was able to take on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her striking skills that were superior in the final clinch through knees to the body. Following this victory Antonina was offered an UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night reward during the bout. Shevchenko was 1-2 over the next three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
